El Camino was developed on the Irvine Ranch so one of the original villages was named after it. “The Ranch” was a neighborhood village of El Camino with neatly lined similar looking homes. The Ranch was later absorbed in El Camino redefining it and today it is a huge subtract with detached 638 single family homes. Three builders are credited namely Presley, Pacesetter and Ayres. Three are approximately 25 floor plans having single and double story homes featuring 3 to 6 bedrooms, 1.75 to 4 bedrooms and two to three car garages.
