If you’re moving to Newport Beach, whether you’re looking for a luxury estate for sale in Baycrest, an oceanfront property in Lido, or a town home for sale in The Bluffs, you’ll be glad to know that there are plenty of places in this gorgeous city to kick back, relax, and enjoy the great outdoors.

3 Great Public Parks in Newport Beach, CA

While there are dozens of parks in the area, these are three of our favorites.

Castaway Park

Castaways Park’s views of Newport Bay make this park a favorite for joggers and people that enjoy climbing the hill for exercise. While small, this hidden gem has great paths and trails, all with scenic views. There are no athletic fields or picnic facilities; it’s quiet, safe and perfect for a romantic evening stroll. You can sit on one of the benches and watch the twinkling lights of Fashion Island and the boats on the bay.

Marina Park

Marina Park on the Balboa Peninsula has its own safe beach with shallow, clear water and a gorgeous new playground with a lighthouse slide. While there is a minimal fee for parking, the park is worth it, especially if you have toddlers. They can wade in water without any waves. There are boats to watch as well, but no lifeguard.

Sunset Ridge Park

Desert-landscaped Sunset Ridge Park is a small community park in the West Newport neighborhood with a baseball field and butterflies galore. Opened in 2013, the playground equipment is still new and the bottle refill station is a hit with everyone.
